Dear Governor,

I beg your pardon for the interval since my last letter. Three hundred years ought to have afforded sufficient time for the correction of the follies I remarked upon in Boston. Finding that several have since established themselves in Minnesota, I resume my correspondence.

I am pleased to observe that the public treasury has grown considerably during my absence. I am less pleased to discover how many private persons have mistaken it for their own. My inquiries have now brought me to Summit Avenue, not far from your own residence on the same street, where the property at 1671 Summit raises some serious questions.

The question on Summit Avenue

You see, this property, once a church, is now described in county records as a Daycare Center. It is a peculiar time in Minnesota for one to be starting a Daycare Center, especially a building that has no parking, outdoor play space, signage, or website. Perhaps more interesting, are its potential connections to the Feeding our Future Fraud and other tax fraud cases.

The accompanying atlas

For your convenience, I have arranged the accompanying records in an atlas, with sources attached and unanswered questions marked. I hope it will spare your office some searching—and help distinguish what the documents establish from what still requires an answer.

Another part of the map shows a tax case involving Khadar Ismail Egal, also known as Jabarti Mohamed, who ran Jigis & Associates. Minnesota’s Department of Revenue’s own press release states that

“Mr. Mohamed’s fraud has led to a sprawling network of spin-off audits of individuals and businesses which have resulted in assessments of millions of dollars in taxes owed to the state.”

One of the businesses named in that case is St. Paul Madina Academy LLC, which lists a principal executive office at the same address AS Properties lists as its registered office.

I have devoted considerable ingenuity to electricity, but the Feeding Our Future affair suggests that I overlooked a more profitable application: the washing machine. Had I known what fortunes could be made in laundering, I might never have troubled myself with lightning.

A request for an answer

Still, Governor, we ask for no new invention. A careful examination of the records, a reachable party responsible for the property, and a written account of its intended use would suffice. These are modest requests, requiring neither a kite nor a key - only someone willing to answer.

I await your reply, trusting that our correspondence may now proceed at intervals shorter than three centuries.

Sincerely,

Silence Dogood

P.S. My acquaintance Mr. Thomas Paine has published a pamphlet entitled Common Sense. I commend it to your attention.
